Welcome

Enhancing Vietnam-China Agricultural Trade

January 2023

The International Federation of Public Procurement Societies (IFPPS) and Vietnam Digital Agriculture Association (VIDA) have recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to cooperate on the import and export of agricultural products overseas, specifically to China.

The agreement between IFPPS and VIDA aims to strengthen the agricultural supply chain and promote the trade of agricultural products between Vietnam and China. The partnership also seeks to enhance the digitalization of agricultural supply chains in Vietnam, making it easier for businesses to access international markets.

China is a major consumer of Vietnamese agricultural products, and the cooperation between IFPPS and VIDA is expected to increase trade volume between the two countries. The MOU focuses on several key areas of collaboration, including market analysis, product development, supply chain management, and marketing.

The two organizations will also work together to provide training and support for Vietnamese farmers and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the agriculture sector. This will include training on best practices in supply chain management, logistics, and e-commerce.

The partnership between IFPPS and VIDA is expected to have a significant impact on the agriculture sector in Vietnam, as it will help to promote the development of a more efficient and sustainable supply chain. The collaboration will also help to improve the quality of Vietnamese agricultural products and increase their competitiveness in international markets.

The MOU between IFPPS and VIDA represents an important step forward in the promotion of agricultural trade between Vietnam and China. With the support of these two organizations, Vietnamese farmers and businesses in the agriculture sector are well-positioned to capitalize on the opportunities presented by China's growing demand for high-quality agricultural products.
